What a carrier collects, what it does with it, and what this particular site stores, which is one draft in your own browser and nothing else.
This notice describes how Ironclad Mutual would handle personal information collected through this website. Ironclad Mutual is a demonstration brand and this site has no server, no database and no analytics. Nothing typed into any form here is transmitted anywhere.
On a live carrier site, the equivalent notice would also have to satisfy the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act privacy rule and the insurance information practices act of each state in which the carrier is licensed.
To quote a policy, a carrier needs identifying information, the addresses and vehicles to be insured, the drivers in the household, and a claims history. To bind a policy it additionally needs payment details and, depending on the line, a credit-based insurance score where state law permits one.
None of that is collected here. The quote form on this site validates in your browser and stores a draft in your own browser session storage so a refresh does not lose your answers. That draft never leaves your device and is cleared when the form is submitted or the tab is closed.
To produce a quote, underwrite and rate a policy, service and renew it, investigate and settle claims, detect fraud, and meet the reporting obligations that state regulators impose on licensed carriers.
Ironclad Mutual does not sell personal information and does not share it with third parties for their own marketing. Consumer reporting agencies and motor vehicle records are queried only as part of underwriting a policy you have asked us to quote.
This site sets no cookies, loads no third party scripts, and runs no analytics. The only browser storage it uses is a session storage key holding your own quote draft, described above.
Under the privacy laws of several states in which Ironclad Mutual is licensed, you would have the right to know what personal information is held about you, to request a correction, and in some cases to request deletion or to opt out of certain disclosures. Insurance transaction records are usually subject to a statutory retention period that limits deletion.
On a live site, requests would be made to the privacy officer at the address below and answered within the period the applicable state law sets.
